At kiwi sport we learned basic drills like setting for volleyball. To set put the right leg in front of the left leg. Next put hands in a diamond shape over the head.

                                                       

                                   

               

Subtraction using place values Maths

We did subtraction using place values. We had to show how we did the answer it was kind of hard. But I now know how to subtract.  I now how to work this problem.

249 - 152 = 97

1. 249 - 2 = 247 take 2 off 152 so now it should be 150 then do 249 - 2 = 247

2. 247 - 50 = 197 then take 50 off 150 so now it 100 then take away 247 - 50 = 197

3. 197 - 100 = 97 after that just do 197 - 100 = 97 

Geometric masking art

I made geometric masking art. Masking means covering areas where there shouldn't be pastels. Geometric means simple shapes. 

We framed our art and then cut off sections with tape. 

Then we made big and small shapes within the section with tape.

We coloured them with pastels we had to colour the shape in one way so it could look better.

Then we ripped the tape off.

We did it very slowly because it might rip the paper.

Ripping off the tape was so tiring. 

I think my art turned out good except for the rips in the corner.

  

Find, Draw, Animate, Act

We learnt about light and sound vocabulary.

I learnt lots of new words like frequency and prism. Frequency mean the number of time something repeat its self and prism means a shape that can split white light int different colour of colours. First we matched words with the meaning of them. There were different words like laser,  reflect echo, and vibration.

The 2nd activity we did find draw animate and act. For find we found a picture of a echo and for draw we draw a rainbow witch meant for

spectrum. For animate we had to make a slide of a torch reflecting off a mirror and for act we had to make a video of vibration. The word we used was echo spectrum and reflect  also vibration.

Verbs Noun and Adjective

LI- Summarise and locate keywords.

There are lot of noun verbs and adjective. Adjective are words that describe people. Verbs are word used to describe a action.  Nouns are used to identify people.

Light lets people see.

light has a lot of properties.

One property is White light can be split into different colour.

Another property is  light can change direction through glass.

Another is light can't go through opaque objects.

The properties of light can be used in a lot of places.
