Today we had our tech, we were learning about acids and bases. we had red paper and blue paper cutted in dice. we put it in each lyquid witch we had to see if it would change colour. ive learnt alot today beacuse we learnd about liquid that can change things.

LI: To try using labortory equipment

Today I went tech at tamaki college. Mrs Shama showed us what equipments were for and then we used them in a experement. We had to time how long it takes for the sugar to evolve in water.

The temputure of the cold water was 24c, The temuture for the hot water was 82c, it took 1min and 4 sec for the sugar to elvolve in the cold water, and  it took 28 sec for the sugar to elvolve in the hot water

LI: To identify equipment in the labortory. 

Today I went to tech at Tamaki College.

We learned about equipment that Scientest use and what they use it for when they are doing an experiment.

Then she gave us a Beaker, a Measuring Cylinder, and a Dropper to measure water about 40ml.

Once we measured 40ml we used the dropper to measure up to 43ml.

 

Isaac Newton

LI: To learn about Isaac Newton

Publish to the web your slides. This week in Reading, LS2 has been working towards Simple Machines. Apart of this, we were required to learn about Isaac Newton. Isaac Newton is a physicist, mathematician, theologian and a Astronomer. We were also required to create a DLO with the following questions: Why is his work important? What did he find out? How does his work connect to simple machines? 

I found this activity fun because I learned new things like who discovered gravity.

Find, Draw, Animate, Act

We learnt about light and sound vocabulary.

I learnt lots of new words like frequency and prism. Frequency mean the number of time something repeat its self and prism means a shape that can split white light int different colour of colours. First we matched words with the meaning of them. There were different words like laser,  reflect echo, and vibration.

The 2nd activity we did find draw animate and act. For find we found a picture of a echo and for draw we draw a rainbow witch meant for

spectrum. For animate we had to make a slide of a torch reflecting off a mirror and for act we had to make a video of vibration. The word we used was echo spectrum and reflect  also vibration.
