Maori

Today I learned about North Island town Maori names.

I first went through a list of Maori town names, and matched the English town names to the Maori town names.

I enjoyed this activity. It was challenging because the town names were long.

Maori

This week we learnt about names and conversation.

We first had a list of English and Maori names that I to matched together.

The names were easy because the Maori and English names sound the same.

Example: Lorna in Maori is Rona, Mary in Maori is Mere.

It was fun and easy for me.

Maori

This week we learned how to translate names in Maori

We changed letters because the Maori alphabet doesn't have some letters like J S and B.

Then we had a whole list of names to swap the letters.

I enjoyed learning about names and learning new things.
