Knowledge

For maths we had to share knowledge and tell each other something we learned from measuring, addition, subtraction, and geometry

I talked about Addition and how you use this strategy in a maths problem.
Then I gave him a example There are 7 apples in one basket and 4 apples in the other. So, we add 7 and 4 to find the total number of apples. To add 7 and 4, we can count forward 4 steps from 7 The symbol used to indicate Addition is + (plus symbol). So, 7 and 4 can be written as 7 + 4.

He taught me about converting measurement and showed me examples like Adding a zero can be wrong for example 50+0= 50. 50 can’t change to 500.

Then I changed partners I talked to him about money and how money works on a place value system.
I gave him some questions like I have 30c I find $1 and my friend gives me $5.60 I buy a candy bar that cost $2.70 How much money do I have left.

He just gave me example like If someone have $10.30 and my friend gave me $6.70 and I find $2.40 how much do I have?
Then he showed me how to work it out First I add 30 and 70. 30+70=$1.00. Then I add $10.00 and $6.00=$ 16.00 and $2.00 equal $18.00. Lastly I add $1.00+$18.00+40=$19.40.

It was hard teaching I don't think I would be a good teacher. I would be better next time.
