kiwi Jingle bells

Today I did an activity called Kiwi jingle bells. I first listened to a kiwi Christmas story so I know what to do. Then I wrote my own kiwi Christmas song it had to have places in NZ.

I really enjoyed this activity it was fun making the song. 

Santa costume

 Today's task for Summer Learning Journey I made a new design for Santa's costume.

We first drew our costume then picked different colours for the costume.

I really enjoyed this activity.

Haiku Poem

For another summer learning journey task we needed to copy the template to create an Haiku. We created this by using the 5 syllables 7 syllables and the 5 syllables again. We also drew the Christmas tree and the presents. I really enjoyed this task as well as it was really cool and fun to do.  

Summer Learning Journey / Task 9

 For a another this weeks summer learning journey. We needed to create an slide. This slide was worked really well with my group as we shared out ideas and really found the task really cool to do. I think this task is one of my Favorited tasks so far. But Hope to see more tasks coming . Have a great and safe holiday.

Rise up

For this task we needed make a song by showing what our school is like. I think I found this task really interesting  and fun to do as I am able to create an song about our school.

Te Reo Maori

For this week's summer learning journey task . We needed to copy an slide deck and translate the English into Maori. This was really fun and cool to do as i really enjoyed doing this task.

Optical Illusion

Today's summer learning journey task we needed to create an Optical Illusion, The DLO showing above was create by me and my partner(Liletina) from LS2. I really enjoyed doing this activity  because it was fun and cool to do. I created this by using the drawing tools and making it really cool to see.  I really liked working with my partner as we find different types of illusions and deiced to pick an illusion we should create by using the drawing tools.

Kowhaiwhai pattern

Today I created a kowhaiwhai pattern that represents summer.

We were aloud to draw our kowhaiwhai pattern or make a template for it.

I enjoyed making my kowhaiwhai pattern. 

  

Presentation

Today for inquiry my group and I presented our emergency shelter to Mr Ogilvie and Mr Wong.

The presentation was about our shelters and about why our shape can protect people from natural disasters.

First we practised our script so we don't forget what to say.

Our presentation was bad because we kept laughing and I was nervous of speaking in front of everybody.Our feedback was about things we had to work on.

I think my group need's to practice on our eye contact and how to stop laughing.

Scavenger hunt

The first thing I did was watch a video It was from Nano girl.

Nano girl is a scientist she creates fun activity's for people who do the Summer learning journey. 

Then I collected materials like paper, cardboard, Aluminium cans, and tin foil.

We recorded us going on a scavenger hunt around the class.

It was easy because all we had to do is find materials. 

Fishy false teeth

This week I read an article called fishy false teeth.

I first read an article then did an activity about the character in  the article.

Then I created a comic strip. It was about two fishermen they were fishing and one of them sneezed and their teeth fell into the water. 

I enjoyed this activity is was easy because I have a good imagination.

Art Colouring

The first activity I did was colouring in a famous art work called women combining her hair.

After that I made a google drawing and wrote down information about the art.

The questions were like what is the art name and who is the artist.

This activity was easy because all I had to do was colour in.

 

Maori

Today I learned about North Island town Maori names.

I first went through a list of Maori town names, and matched the English town names to the Maori town names.

I enjoyed this activity. It was challenging because the town names were long.
